GIB visited Wood's workshop to select the wood for this simple piece, which is based on the JB motif.
Magnolia Burl is used for the body top.

The woodworking, painting, and integration are beautiful, which is why this kind of wood looks so beautiful.
The body back is ash and the fingerboard is maple.
The PU is equipped with a Nordstrand Big Single.
This PU has a fat and cool sound, but depending on the combination, the mid-range may be too strong, resulting in a different character from that of the JB.
In this respect, I don't feel any negative parts that might interfere with this unit, and it is perfectly balanced.
It is really well done.
The preamp is an Aguilar OBP-3.
Controls are neck volume, bridge volume, passive tone, bass, middle, treble, and a switch to bypass the preamp and switch middle freqency (400/800).
Tuners are GOTOH, bridge is HIPSHOT Style B.
The precision of the integration and setup is excellent, and it is really easy to play and sounds great.
The smooth nuance that seems to be made in Japan and the open nuance that seems to be made in the U.S.A. are both well mixed.
