Sterling is a brand that produces a lower-priced version of Music Man.
Even though it is a lower-priced version, the basic performance is high, and it inherits the Music Man gene well.
This model is an entry-level version of the Stingray, one of Music Man's flagship basses.
It is equipped with a single large humbucking PU in the rear and a powerful 2-band preamp.
The characteristic specs are followed closely, and the sound is tight, warm, and punchy, just like the Stingray itself.
Basswood is used for the body, which may not be an option due to cost.
However, it is not necessarily a bad thing, and its open and flat characteristics bring out the high quality of the preamp even more.
Jatoba is used for the neck and fretboard material.
It is a somewhat rare wood, an alternative to Rosewood. It is characterized by a slightly hard, fast-rising sound.
If you are looking for the one and only sound that can only be produced by this style, this model is the best choice.
