While Sire carries a strong JB-style image, this M Series features modern characteristics and is highly regarded.
This model is the new M6-4.
It inherits the M Series body shape, incorporates a headless design and multi-scale, resulting in more modern specifications.
The body wood is Mahogany.
Indonesia has a supply of high-quality Mahogany, so that's likely why it was chosen.
The fingerboard and fretwork finish is outstanding.
While expected in this price range, it's finished to a high quality that holds its own even when compared to higher price points.
The scale length is relatively relaxed at 33-34.5 inches, so players accustomed to JB-type basses should experience minimal discomfort.
It features an original humbucking pickup and a 3-band EQ preamp.
