Secret EFX is an Italian brand founded by Luca Cesaroni.
He has worked in the music and guitar industry for many years and started the brand to create products that were needed in his line of work but did not exist in the world.
The main electronic design is done by his friend Guido Borghesani.
Guido is a professional engineer and is trusted to work in various fields ranging from medical equipment and contemporary art as well as audio equipment.
The use of distinctive enclosures is part of Secret EFX's appeal, but the idea came to Luca in a store selling military disposals.
I met Luca at a guitar show in Europe.
I immediately understood from our conversation that he has a passion for guitars, respect for artists, and a great personality.
The Omnia Bass Drive is the signature model of European bassist Alex Lofoco.
He handles the bass as if it were his own limb and expresses grooves at will with superb technique.
He is world-renowned, and you may have seen him play in videos at NAMM, Frankfurt Musikmesse, and other events.
The Omnia Bass Drive is an overdrive that allows him to push his mystical techniques to the limit.
The distortion is most distinctive, and the distortion changes smoothly with the intensity of your picking.
Therefore, the tone can be controlled from clean to drive without changing the pedal settings, just by varying the intensity of picking.
GAIN is set to 0 for a clean sound, and when this is raised, it is pushed to the point where distortion with a fuzz-like texture can be obtained.
TONE consists of a passive circuit that changes the high frequencies in a subdued manner. This is good for suppressing the messy edges of distortion that can sometimes be overemphasized in specialty amps and cabinets.
VOLUME is located at the end of the circuit. It does not affect the sound character and completely changes the volume only.
The power supply accepts 9-24V.
The larger the voltage, the wider the dynamic range and freer playing.
