Description & Condition
Sago is a handmade guitar brand based in Hyogo that specializes in fully custom-made guitars that fulfill all customer requests.
Their regular models (although most of them are one-offs), which are created using the knowledge and skills they have cultivated over many years, are also highly acclaimed.
The brand is also trusted by musicians, with Sago artists including Tabuchi from UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, RIO from Mary's Blood, and Kusakari from Sakanaction.
This model is the Ove, an original model favored by many artists.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, creating a classic wood construction.
The coloring was custom-ordered in a unique and luxurious color that is characteristic of Sago.
The design is flashy yet somehow chic and beautiful, exuding great taste.
The tuning machines specified were HIPSHOT Ultralite, and the bridge was HIPSHOT Style B.
We could have gone with GOTOH, but we went with HIPSHOT to incorporate Western nuances into both the sound and looks.
The pickups and preamp are original.
Being able to design and manufacture these in-house is a major advantage.
Controls include volume (push/pull - active/passive), balance, treble, and bass.
Basically, the passive setting provides a sufficient amount of low end and thickness, making it possible to create a sound that primarily relies on passive sound.
As a result, the EQ is effective in both boost and cut directions.
In fact, there aren't many basses that offer this kind of control.
A guitar with a balance that is typical of Sago, with high design ability in all aspects.
Recommended.
