Sago is a handmade guitar brand based in Hyogo that specializes in fully custom-made guitars that fulfill all customer requests.

Their regular models (although most of them are one-offs), created using the knowledge and skills they have cultivated over many years, are also highly acclaimed.

Sago is also a brand that is highly trusted by musicians.

Sago artists include Tabuchi of UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, RIO of Mary's Blood, and Kusakari of Sakanaction.

This model is a JB replica custom-ordered from GIB.

The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, a classic wood construction.

The high-quality aging process is particularly noteworthy.

The staff member who performed the aging process formerly worked at Fender, on the team of acclaimed master builder Carlos Lopez.

Carlos' team mainly worked on relic processing, and they were highly regarded both inside and outside the company.

This model was only possible thanks to a builder with such a track record.

Starting with a review of the paint, the paint film creation method, and the aging method and level, we thoroughly examined every detail to improve quality, and we had them apply a high-quality aging finish.

We used lacquer as the paint, and had them apply the thinnest possible finish.

We then applied an intense aging process to achieve this realistic texture.

For the pickups, we chose the newly developed Lx BSP.

This is a split-coil push-pull layout that has been gaining popularity in recent years, placed in the JB pickup position.

In fact, Baltolini pickups such as MTD often use split coils.

One thing worth noting is that even on their own, they produce a noiseless, fat sound.

The neck pickup has a truly push-pull-through sound, with an open, fat sound, and the bridge pickup is also thick, giving them the strength to stand up to an ensemble even on their own.

Yet, when mixed, it produces a crisp sound with a scooped midrange, so it's no wonder it's so highly rated.

Everything else is perfectly normal.

It's treble-heavy, but has density in the lows. It's light to play, but the sound that comes out of the speakers is inversely loud.

It's truly an incredible piece.
I'd like to spread the word to musicians around the world that basses like this can be made in Japan.
