Previously, the Metroline Express was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over the distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing shifted to a factory in China.

While keeping the selling price down, high quality is maintained, making it a very unique product in its price range.

This is a newly released, limited-production, Japan-exclusive Will Lee model.

It comes in three colors: Tobacco Sunburst, Candy Apple Orange, and Sherwood Green.

The body is made of Okoume, and the fingerboard is made of Morado (Pau Ferro).

Unlike the regular lineup, this Japan-exclusive model uses regular maple for the neck, without roasting.

This brings it even closer to the specifications of the German-made models.

While the German-made models have chambered bodies, this one has a solid body.

Many people prefer solid bodies.

The neck has a satin finish, giving it a smooth feel.

The 22 frets are another characteristic of this model.

I believe this is the maximum number of frets possible while maintaining a classic sound.

The pickups are hum-canceling type, as is typical of Sadowsky.

The preamp features the familiar 2-band EQ.

You can significantly boost the low and high frequencies with the frets.

The circuit board of this preamp is almost identical to that of the top-of-the-line models priced around 1 million yen.

Copper foil shielding is also applied, resulting in surprisingly low noise.

These points are extremely important advantages when choosing the MX series.

Even in this price range, you can see Roger Sadowsky's uncompromising commitment to instrument making.

The controls are volume, balance, treble, and bass.

The bass knob has a push-pull function that bypasses the active circuit, allowing for passive playing.

The powerful and crisp sound is a little more flamboyant than recent German-made products.

Some people might even prefer this sound if they only listen to it.

It seems difficult to produce a product of the same high quality at the same price point.
