Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand whose clientele includes top-tier musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee.
While the Metroline Express series was previously manufactured in Japan, production has since moved to a factory in China following Warwick’s assumption of distribution for Sadowsky products.
The series maintains high quality while keeping prices competitive, making it a truly unique offering in its price range.
When the Metroline Express series was first released, it did not feature the Sadowsky logo, but this has since been successfully updated.
This model incorporates the essence of the MM series, which had already been introduced in the German-made lineup.
The body is made of Okume, while the neck and fingerboard are crafted from Roasted Maple.
The body shape is very slim overall.
It’s a well-established shape.
The pickups consist of a hum-canceling single-coil and a large MM-type dual-coil.
The bridge pickup’s wiring can be switched between series, single, and parallel modes via a switch.
On top of that, it features the familiar 2-band boost-type preamp.
It offers a smooth playing feel while delivering an MM-style sound.
This is a quintessential Sadowsky guitar.
