Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand whose clientele includes top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee.
Until now, the Metroline was manufactured in Japan, but with Warwick taking over distribution of Sadowsky products, production has moved to the Warwick factory in Germany.
The Japanese-made Metroline models were originally highly acclaimed, so there were concerns about a decline in quality, but seeing the actual instrument shows no need for excessive worry.
This is the signature model of Verdine White, bassist for Earth, Wind & Fire.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is Morado, the brand's standard configuration.
Like the NYC, the new Metroline features a chambered body.
This makes it light, weighing in at just under 3kg, and adds just the right amount of back support to playability.
The pickup arrangement is PJ type.
Generally, PJ pickup layouts can cause issues with balance when mixing.
This issue seems to be resolved by using a hum-canceling pickup in the bridge.
Excellent electronics produce a powerful sound even with low string height.
It achieves a high level of balance between playability and sound quality.
It's very neat and easy to use, with an eloquent funk sound.
It's also a highly refined PJ bass.
I highly recommend it.

● Repurchase Price Guarantee
If you sell your instrument within six months of purchase, we guarantee a full repurchase price. The price is 50% for new products and 70% for used products.
● Defect Guarantee
All products sold by Basic Co., Ltd. are guaranteed against defects. With the exception of some products such as consignment items, we will repair any malfunctions that occur under normal use within the warranty period from the date of purchase free of charge (returns and refunds will only be accepted if repairs are not possible).
The warranty period is three months for used products and one year for new products.
Please note that even within the warranty period, a fee will be charged for repairs in the following cases:
- Malfunctions or damage caused by transportation, moving, dropping, etc.
- Replacement of consumables.
