Description & Condition
PRS is a new age standard guitar brand along with Fender and Gibson.
Their beautiful guitars have been used by the world's top musicians such as Carlos Santana, John Mayer, Orianthi Panagaris, DAITA, and Pablo.
This model is from the SE line, which offers high quality with excellent quality control at a lower price than ever before.
This model is the McCarty 594, which was created in collaboration with Ted McCarty, the developer of the Gibson Les Paul, and brings McCarty even closer to vintage guitars.
This is a SingleCut with a traditional look.
PRS guitars are basically 25 inches in scale, which is between the Fender and Gibson scales, but this model has a unique scale of 24.594 inches.
This is because the scale of Les Paul in the 50's was 24.594" when it was measured.
The body back is made of mahogany, the top is made of maple, and beautiful flame maple is used as a veneer.
The three-layer construction of the body gives it the beautiful looks of the higher-end PRS models while keeping costs down, and the maple top and mahogany back give it a realistic sound.
The neck is made of bound mahogany and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The SE series often uses maple for the neck, but this one uses mahogany like the higher-end models.
Compared to maple, mahogany has a characteristic sound with rich overtones.
The neck shape is also a major feature of this model, with the "Pattern Vintage" neck shape, which is a detailed reproduction of the neck shape of a 1953 Les Paul.
The neck shape is the thickest of all PRS neck shapes, but it is asymmetrical between the 6-string side and the 1-string side, giving it both a vintage feel and high playability.
The pickups are 58/15 LT "S".
It was developed based on the 58/15, which was aimed at the humbucker sound of the late 50's, and is characterized by its clear and warm sound.
The pickups are coil-tapable and can be operated as single coils.
The wide variety of sound variation is very attractive.
The controls and hardware also follow the vintage style, giving it a traditional look.
This model is a perfect example of a PRS model that combines vintage-like sound with modern playability.
We are confident that the quality is better than the price.
Please give it a try!
