Momose, based in Matsumoto, Nagano, produces high quality basses and guitars.

The MJ Five 24 is an ambitious work based on the traditional JB style, incorporating unique design details.
This is a so-called "Show model" manufactured by Divisor in 2023.

The top of the body is finished with beautiful fade-colored tochi.
The tochi has been attracting attention in recent years for its deep wood grain, which gives it a unique and luxurious look.

Momose also highly appreciates tochi as a tonewood, and one-piece tochi is used for the body back.
The tone is said to have a low center of gravity and a bright tone in the low to middle range.
It is indeed not too dark when played, but has an open nuance.

The neck is made of quarter-sawn maple with a smooth grain, and the fingerboard is made of Madagascar rosewood.
As with all special models, it seems that high grade woods were used.

The PU is a Mojotone Classic string Jazz Bass with a passive circuit.
The sound, which includes plenty of shimmering bass and attachey, air-breathing treble, is universally appealing in an ensemble.

This is a must-try for the bassist who is not only a hands-on bassist, but also for the bassist who wants to get his or her own special one.
