Momose, based in Matsumoto, Nagano, produces high quality basses and guitars.

MJ Five is an ambitious work based on the traditional JB style, incorporating unique design details.
This is a so-called "Show model" manufactured by Divisor in 2023.

The body back is made of alder and the top is made of exotic maple finished in a beautiful fade color.
The wood has a bidentate shape, neither flamed nor quilted, and the price of such wood has skyrocketed in recent years.
This is a premium model that makes lavish use of such wood.

Wenge is used for the fingerboard.
Wenge, used by brands such as Warwick, is hard and produces a tight and sharp sound.
It is a popular fretboard material along with its beautiful looks.

The pickups are the original Momose VJ5 with a passive circuit.
The sound, which includes plenty of swinging bass and attackee, air-pounding treble, is universally appealing in an ensemble.
