Maurizio Über Basses is a Malaysian-based brand producing high-class basses.
Builder Maurizio Caduto originally hails from Italy and his beautifully crafted pieces with a unique sense of style are highly regarded, especially in Europe and the USA.

The brand is also loved by many artists, with Rhonda Smith, Tim Lefebvre, Pepe Hernandez and Sheldon D'Silva all known to use the brand.

Among the many original creations, the J5 has a relatively traditional nuance.

The body is made of white tulipwood, the neck of padouk and the fingerboard of Perferro.
The compact body shape is unique but easy to hold and well balanced.
The specs and appearance are quite unique, but it still feels strangely JB-like balanced.

The bridge and pegs are made of Hipshot, which gives it a Western feel.

The carbon-reinforced neck is of course strong, but it also has an organic suppleness and beautiful string vibrations.
The high quality of the neck area is something that cannot be achieved overnight.

The pickups are Bartolini hum-canceled.
The preamp is an Aguilar OBP2.
