Guild is especially well known for making guitars in the acoustic style.
Many artists have used Guild guitars, including Jack Casady, Slash (Guns N' Roses), and Muddy Waters.
This model is a reissued version of the STARFIRE BASS II, which was created in 1967 and loved by legendary bass players such as Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane) and Phil Lesh (Gateful Dead).
The NAT color is made entirely of mahogany for a sweet, straight sound.
One feature is the slightly shorter scale (780mm) as opposed to the typical full scale (854mm).
This gives it a fat nuance, and it does not lose its bass-like character, even in an acoustic style.
Of course, this is also a big advantage in terms of playability.
The nut width is 38mm, similar to JB, and the neck grip is thin.
The pickups are GUILD BiSonic BS-1 pickups, which are based on the old specifications.
Basically, it is very warm, with plenty of low end and overtone-rich yet sweet high end.
Controls are 2 volume 2 tone, PU selector and master volume.
I think this, combined with the fact that the sound is quite sweet.
I think it would have a wider range if some were omitted, but whether it would be better or not is another matter.

Around the bridge is a tailpiece and tom type, which is not often seen on basses.
It is a look that makes me think that this style must be for this style after all.
For those who usually play a lot of solid basses, this playing comfort and sound are very fresh and attractive.
