Dragonfly is a Japanese guitar and bass brand with a long history.
They manufacture high-quality products using knowledge and technology cultivated in collaboration with musicians.
Many musicians use their products; for example, Tetsuya Teyan of Fear.and Loathing in Las Vegas has been using their basses for many years.
Dragonfly offers several models, but this model is the newly launched CL-SPB5, a classic PB-style bass.
A masterpiece incorporating high-quality hardware with the stable, high quality that only Japanese manufacturing can provide.
Basically, it's a simple 5-string PB.
It incorporates an active circuit, offering a balanced approach that allows for modern sound shaping.
Personally, I recommend using it mainly in passive mode, and turning on the active circuit as needed.
This particular instrument features an alder body and a Pau Ferro fingerboard.
The preamp can be selected from the original or a Darkglass preamp; this one is the original type.
It gives the impression of converting impedance while maintaining a natural and straightforward sound.
The controls are volume, passive tone, treble, middle, bass, and a preamp on/off switch.
The sound is solid, open, and full, as expected from a PB.
Yet, as is typical of Dragonfly, it also boasts a smooth playability.
This is a highly recommended 5-string PB option.
This is an outlet item.
Due to long-term storage, there may be some scratches or other cosmetic imperfections.
A warranty is included for everything except cosmetic issues.

●Lifetime Free Maintenance
Instruments purchased from our store are eligible for lifetime free "String Vibration Setup" (normally ¥4,400). (Reservation required)
・Please present your warranty card with your name filled in.
・Only applicable to the person who purchased the instrument at a GIB or TONIQ physical store or online shop.
・Please bear the cost of shipping and other miscellaneous expenses.
●Re-purchase Price Guarantee
If you sell your purchased item within 6 months of purchase, we guarantee the buyback price. The price is 50% for new items and 70% for used items.
●Defect Warranty
Basic Co., Ltd. provides a warranty against defects for products sold by the company. With the exception of some items such as consigned goods, we will repair (or refund if repair is not possible) any malfunctions that occur during normal use within a certain warranty period from the date of purchase free of charge.
The warranty period is 3 months for used products and 1 year for new products.
Please note that the following cases will incur a charge even within the warranty period:
* Malfunctions and damage caused by transportation, movement, dropping, etc.
* Replacement of consumables.
* Malfunctions and damage caused by fire, earthquake, salt damage, gas damage, or abnormal voltage.
* Malfunctions and damage caused by handling contrary to the precautions described in the instruction manual.
* Malfunctions or damage to parts repaired or modified by a party other than our company.
* If the warranty certificate does not have your name, model name, serial number, etc. filled in, or if the wording has been altered.
* If the warranty certificate is not presented or is lost.
