Coils Boutique is an Israel-based brand.
They are especially well known for their pickups and are highly regarded in some circles.
At the moment, Coils Boutique is a brand known only to those in the know, but if its quality is properly evaluated, it is sure to expand its name recognition.
This is a pickup for 4-string JB.
It is specially tuned for the Japanese market.
The pole piece has been adjusted to match the fingerboard radius, and the volume balance of each string is very good.
Especially for a multi-string bass, the volume balance of each string is a big problem.
There are many pickups that have a good character, but are not well balanced in volume.
It is a very good point that measures have been taken in this respect.
Basically, it has a vintage-like direction, dry and open rather than wet.
I think you will like the fact that it does not lose the JB-like middle drop and sparkling treble in the mixed position, whether for the 4-string or 5-string.
The texture in the bridge position alone is impressive and very vintage-like.
It has the sound of a good 4-string bass bridge pickup.
The neck position alone has a thick but grainy texture.
There are not many products that can combine both, the tastefully designed character and the balance without any breakdowns.
