Description & Condition
The brand was started in the 1990s by professional bassist Ales Vychodil.
At the time, the major instrument manufacturers supplied the market with numerous basses, but none of them met his requirements.
To satisfy his own needs, he started building his own custom basses.
In the 2000s, he started OEM production for boutique brands in Europe and the USA, making his manufacturing skills known to the world.
We met him at the Guitar Summit in Germany in 2019 and have ordered from him several times on an ongoing basis, providing us with consistent quality.
This model is inspired by the JB style, but actively incorporates more modern specifications.
It was on display at Guitar Summit in Germany in 2023 and I decided to order it immediately after trying one note. It was too good to be true.
The body is made of swamp ash and the neck and fingerboard are made of roasted maple with a bird's eye appearance.
The feel of the bass is like a bass that has been played for years, with all the nuances of a bass that has been played for years.
Pickups are Aguilar 5J-70, preamp is Aguilar OBP-3.
Tuning keys and bridge are made by HIPSHOT.
The sound is smooth and at the same time has a crisp, wide-range and powerful nuance.
It feels like a proper modern update of the JB and is comfortable for many modern professional bassists.
