Anaconda Basses is a UK-based bass brand that has received exceptional acclaim in recent years, particularly in Europe and the US.

The Ultra J4 Essence released around 2019 won an award from the prestigious bass media (Bass Guitar Magazine), and the Ultra J5 Essence and Ultra J6 Essence were released in 2020.

In 2023, all the models were completely redesigned and of even higher quality.

The scale is 34.5", similar to the F-Bass BN5 and other models.
The scale is 0.5" longer than usual, especially for the tightness of the low B string, which makes it less loose and nuanced.
Nevertheless, the G string is not too tight and has flexible nuances.

The slightly thicker C-shape neck is designed with a flatter D-shape at the high frets.
The thumb position can be changed smoothly, and the organic shaping is not simply a uniform shape, but also gives a sense of meaning.

The neck incorporates two carbon fibre rods for increased strength.
If the neck is too strong, the low B and E strings can feel too rambunctious, but this seems to be solved by the scale setting.

The pickups, named AC6-TN, are of original design.
It has a wide range with just the right amount of compression and an abundant midrange.
The hum-cancelling design and low noise is also a big draw.

The pre-amp to be used with the AC6-TN pickups is also the original AC3-TZ Active 3-Band Preamp.
Controls are volume/passive tone, balancer, middle (push-pull frequency band switching 250/800 Hz) treble/bass.

The character of this preamp is very unique and of high quality.
It outputs the vast low end, crisp middle and punchy treble that bassists need.

Many gospel and R&B bassists are seen using it, which is understandable after listening to the sound.
It has a very BASS CHOPS nuance.

It is comprehensively well-designed and offers excellent performance at a high level.
