Description & Condition
Description & Condition
It's a favorite among bassists worldwide, including Billy Sheehan, Stanley Clarke, and MonoNeon. (Titles omitted)
This model is a Blue Label version of EBS's BassIQ envelope filter, an updated version.
Its analog circuitry covers a wide range of sounds, from auto-wah to synth-bass.
The controls consist of three knobs: Threshold, Attack, and Q.
Threshold adjusts the sensitivity, Attack controls the attack speed, and Q adjusts the filter's character.
A lower Q setting produces a smoother sound, while increasing it results in a sharper, more distinctive wah sound.
There are three modes: Up, Up-R, and Down.
Up is the classic auto-wah, while Down excels at synth-bass sounds with an inverted envelope.
Up-R is a mode similar to Up, but its key feature is the ability to adjust the envelope sweep width with an internal trimmer.
Furthermore, it offers three filter types—Low Pass, Band Pass, and Full Range—allowing for a wide range of sound shaping, as its name "Triple Envelope Filter" suggests.
It supports operation from 9V to 18V, and higher voltages provide ample headroom.
It's suitable for wah sounds in funk, as well as for electronic synth-bass approaches.
