Description & Condition
In the field of effects pedals, the Tube Screamer, born in 1979, is known as a classic overdrive pedal.
This model is a Tube Screamer from the Tone-Lok series, which appeared in 1999.
The Tone-Lok series is characterized by its knobs that retract into the body when pressed.
This design prevents the set position from shifting and minimizes sound changes even from accidental contact during live performances.
The controls consist of three knobs: DRIVE, TONE, and LEVEL, plus a MODE switch.
The "TS9" position on the MODE switch uses the same circuit and component values as the classic TS9.
It's great that you can use the classic TS9 sound directly.
In the "HOT" position, gain is added, increasing distortion and sustain compared to the TS9 mode.
The ability to use two different characteristics with one unit is also a key feature.
For bass players, it's suitable for use as a booster by reducing the DRIVE and increasing the volume with the LEVEL control, or for adding a light distortion to blend into an ensemble.
Power is supplied by a 9V battery or AC adapter.
As a variation of the classic overdrive, this is a great opportunity to add it to your collection.
There are some minor scratches and signs of use. It is in good working order.
GIB's craftsmen will rigorously inspect each item before delivery.
