EDWARDS is a brand developed by ESP.
Leveraging ESP's expertise, EDWARDS offers a range of guitars at affordable prices, gaining support from many players for their high quality and cost-effectiveness.
This particular model is the E-LW-135M, a 5-string guitar.
It features a 35-inch long scale, resulting in a distinctive, well-defined bass tone even on the Low B string.
The body is made of Alder, while the neck and fretboard are Maple.
Officially, the neck is a 3-piece Hard Maple construction with a 6-bolt joint, designed with rigidity in mind to support the long-scale 5-string guitar.
It's equipped with two Seymour Duncan SMB-5D pickups.
These soapbar-type humbuckers are known for their powerful yet clear sound.
A variation switch allows for parallel/tap/series switching, enabling a wide range of sounds with a single guitar.
The preamp is a KH-1 2-band EQ. This guitar has undergone several modifications.
The original toggle-type pickup selector has been replaced with a pot-type balancer, allowing for stepless adjustment of the front and rear pickup balance.
Furthermore, an additional tone pot has been added, allowing for active/passive switching via push/pull.
A finger ramp has been added between the pickups.
This reduces finger sinking, making it particularly stable for fingerstyle and slap techniques.
All control knobs have been replaced, and the pickguard has been removed.
The pickguard is included, so it's possible to restore the original look.
