Swing Guitars is a South Korea-based brand specializing in entry-level to mid-range products.
They primarily manufacture JB-style basses.
All parts are manufactured in their own factory in South Korea, with assembly taking place in factories in Indonesia and China.
The company president personally visits the factories to control quality, ensuring a high level of manufacturing.
The G series is manufactured with lightness as its core concept.
The 4-string model weighs approximately 3.4kg, and the 5-string model weighs approximately 3.7kg.
While the Jazz Deluxe also utilized chambered construction for weight control, this is even more pronounced in this series.
This reduces the stress of playing due to weight.
The body back is made of alder.
Chambered construction is used to control the weight.
The body top is spruce.
The G7 uses veneers of several exotic woods.
You can choose between a simple solid-color style or a more striking look that highlights the wood grain.
The neck is made of maple and incorporates two carbon fiber rods for increased strength.
The fingerboard is made of either maple or rosewood, resulting in an overall traditional wood construction.
The pickups and preamp are original.
The pickups use the classic Alnico 5 magnets.
The preamp is a 4-band EQ, similar to the Jazz Deluxe.
Controls include volume/master tone, balancer, treble, low-mid/high-mid, and bass.
A unique feature of this 4-band EQ is the ability to individually boost/cut the low-mid (400Hz) and high-mid (2kHz).
Based on a modern sound with a rich low end and punchy high end, it allows for a wide range of sound shaping.
It reliably fulfills the role required of a bass in a band ensemble.
While weight reduction has become a key indicator for high-priced basses in recent years, this series boasts a quality that is on par with such models.
