Rickenbacker is one of the most traditional guitar brands, enjoying strong support from many musicians.
This 4003 model is positioned as Rickenbacker's flagship model.
While the basic specifications follow the 4001, it has been updated for modern bassists, primarily focusing on hardware such as the truss rod and pickups.
The body and neck are made of maple.
The fingerboard is made of gloss-finished rosewood.
This is a classic combination of the brand, producing a rich low end and powerful attack.
The pickups are original 2 Single Coil Pickups.
These are known as high-gain pickups, outputting a sound with a uniquely thick low-mid range.
The truss rod is a single double-action rod, the bridge is a newly designed model, and the neck is slimmer, making it a more modern update.
The greatest appeal of this model is its extremely thick low-mids, dense lows, and sharp, metallic attack.
Its sound has the mass of a steel ball. An iconic guitar that has consistently played a vital role in heavy rock ensembles.
