Previously, the Metroline Series was manufactured in Japan, but now it's produced by Warwick in Germany.

Roger Sadowsky has stated that Warwick is the ideal factory among the many factories worldwide.

The brand offers several lines at different price points, but this is the top-of-the-line Master Build/Custom Shop model.

It lives up to its name with its superb quality.

For example, the precision of the back panel, the spring mechanism for easy opening, and the sponge under the pickups—not only are the tonewoods high-quality, but you can also feel the care and attention to detail for the user in key areas.

The SC5 is a 24-fret, single-cutaway bass with a modern style.

This is a special model custom-ordered by GIB.

Aside from the single-cutaway, the basic design is similar to the MS5.

According to Roger Sadowsky, because the 24-fret design brings the neck pickup closer to the end of the fretboard, the neck pickup is positioned somewhat closer to the bridge.

He explained that to compensate for the sharper sound resulting from the change in pickup position, the pickup type was changed to a soapbar type.

The body top is made of Buckeye Burl.

It features a matching headstock, giving it a very luxurious feel.

The body back is made of Swamp Ash.

The neck and fretboard are made of Roasted Maple.

The wood quality is top-notch.

The hardware is uniformly black.

The body finish is a natural gloss that highlights the wood grain.

The sound has a wide frequency range, with well-balanced string vibrations designed from top to bottom, which are output by Sadowsky's high-quality pickups and preamp.

By joining the neck to the body at a shallower point than on a double-cutaway model, strength is increased and string vibrations are controlled.

It is characterized by a stronger fundamental tone and a smooth attack.
