Description & Condition
Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)
The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support and a shining presence even today.
This is a 1972 Jazz Bass.
There is a stamp "●●●●72A" on the neck end.
The year was determined from other specifications.
The body is alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is round-laminated rosewood, a typical configuration for a Jazz Bass of that era.
The pickguard has been replaced.
The wood parts such as the body and neck are believed to be original.
The pickups have likely been replaced with current Fender pickups.
Based on the specifications, it appears to have Custom Shop 60s Jazz Bass pickups.
All pots, jacks, and capacitors have been replaced.
Refretting and nutting have been performed.
The workmanship is very meticulous, and the current fret life and neck relief are excellent.
It can be said that it is in perfect condition for long-term use.
The sound has the clarity characteristic of 70s Jazz Basses, while also possessing a moderately thick, well-worn vintage nuance.
The moderately rounded neck shape is also appealing, and playability is excellent.
This is a practical instrument that allows you to enjoy the look and sound of a vintage Jazz Bass.
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show scratches, dents, paint chips, and weather checking throughout the body. There is some tarnishing and rust on the metal parts. There are screw holes at the neck joint and on the back of the headstock. There appears to be some sticker residue near the control panel.
The electronics are in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with current Fender pickups. The potentiometers and capacitors have been replaced. The pickguard has been replaced.
