Moon is a leading, long-established Japanese guitar brand.
It is highly regarded by many professional artists, and is known to be a favorite of Mitsuru Sudo and Larry Graham. (Titles omitted)
This particular model was manufactured in the 1990s.
It seems to be a rare find, as it's not often seen on the market.
The body appears to be ash, the neck maple, and the fretboard appears to be Pau Ferro.
It features a tight low end and a crisp midrange.
The pickups are Bartolini humbuckers.
The original rotary switch has been replaced with a pickup wiring selector switch, allowing for series/tap/parallel switching.
The preamp is the original.
All the electronics, including the pots and jacks, have been replaced.
The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller ones.
The bridge is a 2TEK Bass Bridge.
The independent string design delivers a tight, articulate attack and clear high frequencies.
The sound is particularly noteworthy for its sharp, crisp highs during slap and fingerstyle playing, while also possessing rich lows.
This guitar boasts a modern sound that is versatile enough to handle a wide range of ensembles while maintaining a strong presence.
Fret life is approximately 70%.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of use, with dents and scratches throughout. The pickguard has noticeable scratches. There is a crack of approximately 90.0mm near the neck joint, but it does not currently affect playability. Some tarnishing is visible on the metal parts.
The electronics are in good condition.
All potentiometers and jacks have been replaced. Schaller strap pins have been installed.
