The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.
This is a 1974 Jazz Bass.
The neck pickup is stamped with ""180274"".
The neck end is stamped with ""02030344"".
The year was determined from other specifications.
The body is Alder, and the neck and fretboard are Maple.
While the 70s might bring to mind the Ash and Maple combination, the Alder and Maple combination, with its light midrange, is also highly recommended.
The color is Black.
The remaining paint in the neck pocket and other areas indicates that it is original. Considering its age, this is likely a custom-colored Black model.
It has been refretted and renutted.
Larger frets have been installed, giving it a more modern playability.
The pickups are original gray bobbins.
The potentiometers are original, but the jack is a current Switchcraft model.
The bridge saddles have been replaced with KTS saddles.
