Description & Condition

Sire became famous for releasing basses supervised by Marcus Miller.

The quality of their guitars and basses is extremely high, and they are highly regarded not only by Marcus Miller fans but also by a wider audience.

This is their new product, the V6-4.

As you can see, it's a model based on the Jazz Bass.

While their usual models are classic in style, this one is more modern.

The body top is made of ash, and the back is made of mahogany.

This likely ensures both good looks and sound quality while utilizing high-quality Indonesian mahogany.

The fretboard and fretwork are exceptionally well-finished.

At this price point, and even compared to higher-priced models, the quality is comparable.

It features original pickups combined with an active circuit, in true Marcus Miller style.

There is no control plate; the controls are mounted directly to the body top.

These are named the Marcus Super-J Revolution Set and Marcus Heritage-3 (No-Mid Frequency).

The controls consist of volume, tone, balancer, treble, middle, and bass (push-pull active/passive switching).

While models like the V3, 7, and 8 featured a middle frequency control, this model has simpler controls.

In that respect, it could be considered a more classic active bass.

Furthermore, by fixing the middle frequency range, the manufacturer has designed the overall sound with a more deliberate intention.

This is something only Sire, with its accumulated knowledge from numerous products, can achieve.

It features a tight yet harmonically rich and powerful sound with a moderate amount of compression.

This model is not only recommended for those aiming for a Marcus Miller-esque sound, but also for anyone simply looking for a high-quality Jazz Bass.
