Moon is a leading, long-established Japanese guitar brand.
Highly regarded by many professional artists, Mitsuru Sudo and Larry Graham are known to be users of the brand. (Titles omitted)
This model is a JB-4A, based on the signature model of Randy Hope-Taylor, known for his work with Incognito and Jeff Beck, with modifications such as fretless construction.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is ebony.
The pickups are made by Bartolini, with the neck pickup replaced by a 9ST-S and the bridge pickup by a 9ST-L.
The preamp is a Bartolini XTCT.
The versatile control layout using stacked knobs allows for detailed sound shaping at your fingertips, with controls for neck pickup volume/bass, bridge pickup volume/treble, middle, and master tone (push-pull/active-passive).
The bridge is a BADASS BASS II.
The strap pins have been replaced with Dunlop ones.
The combination of the fretless design, ebony fingerboard, and Bartolini's clear tone produces a sustained midrange and smooth tone.
