Description & Condition
Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)
The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.
The Custom Shop is a special manufacturing division created to accommodate custom orders.
To meet the demands of professional artists and guitar dealers, it manufactures superior guitars and basses with high technical skill.
Its high quality is highly regarded by artists worldwide.
This instrument is a Custom Shop Jazz Bass, determined to be from 1991 based on the "APR ⚪︎ 1991" stamp on the neck end.
With its CAR color scheme, matching headstock, transition logo, fretboard binding, and block position markers, this appears to be a custom-ordered guitar inspired by mid-1960s specifications.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fretboard is rosewood.
This is a classic combination, primarily producing a rich midrange.
The pickups are original.
The guitar has been refretted and the nut replaced.
Air bubbles are visible under the position markers, suggesting they may have been replaced.
The potentiometers and jack have been replaced with current CTS and Switchcraft parts.
The tuning machines and bridge have been replaced.
There are traces of conductive paint applied inside the routing.
The sound, with its rich, full-bodied bass and sharp, beautiful treble, is truly classic.
From enveloping the ensemble to powerfully driving the groove, it adapts freely depending on the player's nuances.
This is a top-of-the-line Jazz Bass that every bassist should try at least once in their life.
The frets have approximately 85% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show scratches, dents, and areas where the paint appears to have melted or peeled.
The neck pocket has been modified to reduce the space between the strings and the body top.
The electronics are in good condition.
