Yamaha is a renowned brand that has supported the Japanese guitar industry since its early days.
Countless artists, including Nathan East, John Patitucci, and Billy Sheehan, use Yamaha basses. (Titles omitted)
While the brand boasts many popular models such as the BB and SBV, the TRB is particularly popular for its modern design that also suits multi-string basses.
Signature models by John Patitucci and Tetsuo Sakurai, for example, are based on the TRB.
This TRB-6 has a finish very similar to a JP model.
The body top and back are likely Flame Maple, and the koa is Mahogany.
It features a multi-layered through-neck construction and an Ebonic resin fingerboard.
The nut has been replaced.
Both the pickups and preamp are original.
Controls include a balancer, master volume, bass, treble, piezo pickup balancer, and mute switch.
