Yamaha is a Japanese equivalent of Gibson, having supported the industry since the early days of guitar making.
Many top-tier musicians, such as Nathan East and John Patitucci, use Yamaha basses.
While the company boasts several models considered classics, this particular model is a masterpiece from the highly acclaimed BB series.
The BB series has long been a beloved flagship model for the company, and this instrument is the BB424, a previous generation model.
It features an alder body and a 5-piece maple/nato neck.
It incorporates a miter-bolting design, where the strings pass through the back of the body at a 45-degree angle, efficiently transferring string vibrations to the body.
The pickups are original.
