Description & Condition

Fender is, without a doubt, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's loved by countless top artists, including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, and Michael League. (Titles omitted)

The Precision Bass, the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, instantly captivated bassists worldwide.

Its brilliance remains unchanged and it continues to be loved even more than half a century after its creation.

The Custom Shop is a special manufacturing division created to accommodate custom orders.

To meet the demands of top artists and guitar dealers, it produces superior guitars and basses with high technical skill. Its high quality is highly regarded worldwide.

This model is from the Master Built Series, the top-of-the-line series within the Custom Shop.

The maker is Jason Smith.

He is known for working on instruments for Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Steve Harris (IRON MAIDEN).

This bass features a classic wood combination: an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.

The color is the iconic "Monte Carlo Red," also used in Ford automobiles.

This model replicates the specifications of a 1965 Jazz Bass.

The finish uses a nitrocellulose lacquer Closet Classic finish, which will develop a richer character with use.

The pickups are original gray bobbin pickups hand-wound by Josefina Campos.

The jack has been replaced with a Switchcraft jack.

Based on the strong low-mids provided by the alder body and rosewood fingerboard, the Jazz Bass's characteristic core yet clear and punchy attack creates a superb tone that powerfully leads the ensemble.

The harmonically rich and deep sound responds extremely linearly to the player's picking nuances, enabling expressive playing. This is a superb guitar that perfectly matches players seeking the vintage feel of a guitar that has been played for many years, combined with the high sound quality unique to the Custom Shop.

The frets have approximately 80% remaining.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paintwork show some weather checking, scratches, and dents, but due to the relic finish, it cannot be determined whether these are later-acquired damages.

The electronics are in good condition.

The jack has been replaced with a Switchcraft jack at GIB.
