This product will be shipped after string leveling and adjustment using PLEK.
Unless otherwise specified, the string height will be set at 1.5mm for the G string and 2.0mm for the E string (2.3mm for the Low-B string) at the 12th fret.
Please feel free to let us know if you have a preferred setting.
Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand with top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee as clients.
Previously, Metroline Express guitars were manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over the distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing moved to a factory in China.
While keeping the selling price down, high quality is maintained, making it a very unique product in its price range.
This is a newly released, limited-production Will Lee model, exclusive to Japan.
Available in three colors: Tobacco Sunburst, Candy Apple Orange, and Sherwood Green.
The body is made of Okoume wood, and the fretboard is made of Morado (Pau Ferro).
This Japan-exclusive model differs from the regular lineup in that it uses regular maple for the neck, without any roasting treatment.
This brings it even closer to the specifications of the German-made models.
While the German-made models have chambered bodies, this one has a solid body.
Many people prefer solid bodies.
The neck has a satin finish, giving it a smooth feel.
The 22 frets are another characteristic of this model.
I believe this is the maximum number of frets that can maintain a classic sound.
The pickups are hum-canceling type, as is typical of Sadowsky.
The preamp features the familiar 2-band EQ.
You can significantly boost the low and high frequencies with the touch controls.
The circuit board of this preamp is almost identical to that of the top-of-the-line models priced around 1 million yen.
Copper foil shielding is also applied, resulting in surprisingly low noise.
These points are significant advantages when choosing the MX series.
Even at this price point, you can see Roger Sadowsky's unwavering commitment to instrument making, without any compromises.
The controls are volume, balance, treble, and bass.
The bass knob has a push-pull function that bypasses the active circuit, allowing for passive playing.
The powerful and crisp sound sounds a little more flamboyant than recent German-made guitars.
Some might even prefer this sound based on the tone alone.
It seems difficult to produce a product of this high quality at the same price point.
