| Musicman emerged as Leo Fender's second brand and was loved by bassists worldwide. Even after being acquired by Ernie Ball, this remains unchanged, and it continues to be widely accepted by modern bassists. Many artists, including Louis Johnson and Flea, are known to use Musicman basses. (Titles omitted) The Stingray is a classic model that enjoys overwhelming popularity within the brand. Alongside Fender's Jazz Bass and Precision Bass, it's safe to say it's one of the most popular basses in the world. This is a Japanese-made EX model. Manufactured in 1999. It features modern specifications such as a 6-bolt neck, oil finish, and through-bridge. The neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood. The pickups and preamp are original. It has a 3-band EQ. The pickguard has likely been replaced. The bridge is the so-called "FLEA bridge," primarily used on models from the early 1990s. The saddle grooves are designed to be deep to suit Flea's aggressive playing style. It features a distinctive, masculine design with a single humbucking pickup mounted on the bridge side. The unique sound, with its powerful, punchy bass and treble, can only be achieved with this bridge. It's a must-try for anyone playing funk or nu-metal. The frets have approximately 70% remaining. The truss rod is in good condition. The neck is in good condition. The body and paintwork show minor scratches, buckle marks, and dents throughout. The electronics are in good condition. The pickguard appears to have been replaced.
