This is the SHB-800 headless bass.
It incorporates many modern specifications, such as a 30-inch short scale and a laminated neck.
The body is made of ash.
Given the recent surge in ash wood prices, it may become increasingly rare to find instruments in this price range in the future.
The neck and fingerboard are made of roasted maple.
This is also known as thermowood.
Thermowood, which was commercialized in the musical instrument field by Sago of Japan, was originally used in Finland as a building material for saunas.
It is a material whose rigidity is increased by evaporating moisture through high-temperature treatment.
In terms of sound, it has a pleasantly less "new" feel when playing.
