Yamaha has been a pillar of the Japanese guitar industry since its early days, a company often referred to as the Japanese equivalent of Gibson.

This is the BB2000, a renowned and iconic Yamaha model.
The body is made of alder, the neck is a 5-piece laminate of mahogany and maple, and the fingerboard is striped ebony.
It features a neck-through construction, resulting in high sustain and smooth response.
This particular instrument has been refinished in white, giving it a look reminiscent of the custom color used by Tetsuo Sakurai of CASIOPEA.
It is equipped with original pickups.
The combination of a neck-through construction and PJ pickup layout is a unique feature of the BB series that has had a significant influence on later bass designs.
