Jiraud is a legendary Japanese bass brand.
Its high level of craftsmanship continues to garner strong support from many bassists.
Due to the passing of its builder, Mr. Fukuda, only existing instruments are currently available.
This is the Mobius 5, a 5-string model based on the JB style but incorporating Jiraud's unique design philosophy.
It features a classic wood construction with an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The unique design, with an extended body end and a shallow neck joint, achieves high neck rigidity and excellent response.
It features original pickups and Jiraud's proprietary Mobius Circuit preamp.
The Mobius Circuit, designed with an all-discrete configuration, is highly regarded and allows for a wide range of sound shaping, from vintage-like to modern, while preserving the instrument's inherent character.
The sound boasts a fast attack and tight response, while also offering a well-balanced rich low end.
This guitar fully embodies the unique charm of Jiraud, seamlessly blending original design, high craftsmanship, and superior practicality.
The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show two large paint cracks on the side of the body. Small dents are scattered throughout. There are also several small scratches on the headstock, indicating overall signs of use.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
