Yamaha is a renowned brand that has supported the Japanese guitar industry since its early days.
While the company boasts many iconic models such as the SBV, SG, and BB, the TRB series is equally beloved.
This is the TRB1004J, a 4-string model.
The body top is made of maple, and the body back is made of alder.
The neck is a 5-piece laminated type composed of maple and nyato.
Lamination reduces individual variations and eliminates extreme wood characteristics, making it less prone to drastic warping.
In this sense, this design is extremely useful in a price range where it's not possible to select only the highest quality woods.
The fingerboard is rosewood.
The pickups are Yamaha's original hum-canceling single-coils, and the preamp is also a Yamaha original.
The modern body design has a refined balance, producing excellent playability and superior string vibration.
This guitar boasts a powerful electronics-driven sound with low noise and a strong, impactful bass response.
Fret life is approximately 80%.
