Sus bass is a Korean bass brand created by former professional musician Jin Su Lee.
His creations, which resonate with musicians, are popular mainly in Korea, and are used by artists such as SUGA (BTS), Yeonjun Lee (known for session work with TXT), and Yohan Kim (known for session work with ITZY). (Titles omitted)
The body is made of roasted ash, the neck is made of roasted quilted maple, and the fretboard is also made of roasted maple.
The pickups are made by Lundgren of Sweden.
These pickups have a proven track record, also used by high-end brands such as Stenback, and are attractive for their natural yet richly detailed sound.
The preamp is an original design.
Furthermore, the bridge and tuning machines use HIPSHOT hardware, giving it a distinctly European feel.
The sound has a character reminiscent of a modern New York-style 5-string JB.
The transition from the low B to the G string is very smooth, and both the volume and tone are well-balanced, allowing for stress-free playing across the entire fretboard.
In Korea, it's sometimes described as having a ""feel somewhere between Alleva-Coppolo and Sadowsky,"" and its level of craftsmanship certainly justifies that assessment.
This is a guitar we highly recommend for anyone seeking high-end sound and playability.
