Description & Condition

Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.

Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.

This model is a Jazz Bass manufactured between 1965 and 1966.

The volume pot on the neck pickup is difficult to read completely due to the solder, but it indicates 1966.

The tone pot is "137-6605," indicating 1966.

The neck date is "2OCT65A," indicating 1965.

The age was determined by considering other specifications as well.

It features transitional specifications such as non-binding and paddle tuners. The body is alder, and the fingerboard is round-laminated rosewood.

This is a classic combination with a rich midrange.

The body has been refinished in Olympic White.

Since it has a matching headstock, it is likely that the original color was also Olympic White.

The paint finish has a vintage-like look, and there is not much of a sense of incongruity.

The pickups are original gray bobbins.

The bridge pickup pot has been replaced.

Also, the capacitors and some wiring have been replaced.

Considering the condition of the frets, it can be determined that a refret and nut have been replaced.

The workmanship is very beautiful and professional.

Like a mid-60s Jazz Bass, it has an attractive sharp and crisp sound.

The texture, where this sound coexists with a rich midrange containing harmonics, is truly unique to vintage Fender.

This is a gem of a guitar that you can cherish for many years to come; don't miss this opportunity.

The remaining fret life is approximately 90%. The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show some weather checking, paint chipping, dents, and scratches. Screw holes for the bridge cover, pickup fence, and finger rest are visible. Some tarnishing is visible on the metal parts.
The electronics are in good condition.
Based on the condition of the frets, it appears that a refret and nut have been replaced. The workmanship is very clean and professional.
The body has been refinished. Because it has a matching headstock, the original color is likely Olympic White. The paint texture has a vintage-like look and doesn't look out of place.
The bridge pickup pot has been replaced. The capacitors and some wiring have also been replaced.
