Description & Condition

Lollar Pickups is an American pickup brand.

Its quality is highly regarded worldwide, and it is particularly widely used by guitar brands specializing in the 500,000 to 1,200,000 yen price range.

It is also supported by top-tier artists such as Kevin Nolan, Steve Stout, and Kazumi Watanabe, demonstrating its high regard among both builders and players. (Titles omitted)

I met them at a guitar show in Germany.

I already knew about their high quality, but their personalities were also wonderful.

I asked many questions about pickups (at a hobbyist level), and they answered each one accurately and politely.

Their responses were very logical, and I was very convinced of the high quality.

The founder, Jason Lollar, originally studied guitar making and is well-versed in various styles, including archtop and electric guitars.

He has authored many books on pickups, and his books have influenced many guitar builders.

This model is a P-bass pickup based on the style of the 1950s. This pickup is primarily aimed at achieving a vintage-like character.
It possesses the clear attack essential to vintage sound, a rich midrange that blends seamlessly into ensembles, and a vast, powerful low end.

While not suitable for those seeking a modern wide-range or high-powered sound, it's a highly recommended pickup for those who want to faithfully reproduce the vintage feel.

Even when installed on an inexpensive bass, this pickup will significantly improve the sound.

There are signs of use visible externally, but it is in good working order.
