Riggio Custom Guitars is an American guitar/bass brand.
The builder, Joe Riggio, is also highly regarded as a repairman.
They specialize in vintage styles, and all their instruments are handmade.
This is a traditional PB type.
The body is made of alder, and the fretboard is made of Madagascar rosewood—a classic combination.
As can be seen from the texture of the fretboard, high-quality wood is used.
Attention to detail is evident in the nitrocellulose lacquer finish, clay dots, and relicing.
The pickups have been replaced with Olinto brand pickups.
This is also quite rare.
The strings bounce on the fretboard, and the sound spreads throughout the instrument, creating a pleasant playing feel that makes you want to keep playing.
As expected of a PB, the thick, open nuance is the universally valuable sound of a bass.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show dents, scratches, paint chipping, and weather checking, but due to the aged finish, it's impossible to determine if these are later additions. The metal parts also show some tarnishing. Two screw holes for a finger rest are visible.
The electronics are in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with Olinto pickups.
