Inner Wood is a Japanese bass guitar brand.
Production ceased in 2020, and only currently available units are still in circulation.
This particular model is a popular active JB type.
The body is made of ash, and the neck and fingerboard are made of maple.
It delivers a fast response and a clear, punchy sound.
It features original pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.
The 3-band EQ allows for a wide range of sound shaping, from a straightforward, natural sound to a powerful, active sound.
The tight low end and well-defined attack characteristic of the ash body, combined with the bright character of the maple fingerboard, are particularly impressive.
The combination with the Aguilar preamp makes it highly practical, accommodating a wide range of playing styles from slap to fingerstyle.
