Founder Vinny Fodera began his career in his teens.
After working at top workshops such as Spector and Ken Smith, he founded Fodera Guitars in 1983.

This model is a 5-string bass from NYC Empire, manufactured in Japan to achieve both high quality and a practical price.
The body is made of ash, and the fingerboard is maple.
It features a classic configuration with tight lows and clear highs.
The pickups and preamp are original.
Sound-wise, it has a very traditional texture and a straightforward response.
