G&L is known as the third brand created by Leo Fender after Fender and Music Man.
Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith) and Murphy Karges (Sugar Ray) are famous bassists who favor G&L basses. (Titles omitted)
The CLF Research series aims to reproduce the early style as closely as possible.
Named after Leo Fender's real name, Clarence Leo Fender, it reproduces classic specifications such as the metal plate, headstock, and switches.
This is the L2500, a 5-string model equipped with two standard L-series humbuckers.
The body is made of Okoume, the neck is Maple, and the fingerboard is Caribbean Rosewood.
It is painted in a beautiful Tobacco Sunburst, and the controls are located on a distinctive metal plate.
It has a very impressive and elegant look.
The pickups are G&L MFD L-series humbuckers, and the preamp is original.
The combination of large humbucking pickups and a flexible 2-band EQ preamp is outstanding, delivering a powerful and robust sound across all frequencies.
Iconic switches are lined up, including a pickup selector, pickup wiring switch (series/parallel), and preamp mode switch.
In addition to these, there are volume, bass, and treble controls.
With its mechanical look that appeals to men, and a high-powered, impactful sound, this is a guitar you won't want to miss.
Fret life is approximately 70%.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show three small dents of about 1.0mm on the back of the body. There are some scratches near the bridge, likely from string friction. Some slight tarnishing is visible on the metal parts.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
