Xotic is a brand founded in LA by Japanese builder Hiro Miura.
In Japan, many famous musicians use Xotic guitars, including Yoshiki Takahashi, BJ from indigo jam unit, and Katsushi Morioka. Internationally, many famous musicians such as Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton use Xotic guitars. (Titles omitted)
This is a special guitar custom-ordered by GIB.
It features modern specifications throughout.
The XJ series, a line manufactured in Japan, has been highly regarded, especially among studio musicians.
While basically built in a traditional style, several aspects have been updated with modern features.
The neck joint position is slightly different from the usual; when you hold it, you'll notice that it's easier to reach the higher positions with your left hand.
This is an arrangement for modern musicians who use the entire fretboard evenly.
The body is made of alder, and the fretboard is made of rosewood.
The fretboard has 24 frets.
The finish is poly, and the color is Burgundy Mist.
The guitar features a beautiful, natural color without any aging.
Luminova position markers are luminous.
The tuning machines are HIPSHOT Ultralite, and the bridge is an Xotic original.
The pickups are Raw Vintage.
These are handmade in California and are characterized by their clear, crisp, and raw output.
They offer a more sensitive response to the player's fingertips than previous models.
The neck pickup is deeper, the bridge pickup is more three-dimensional, and the mix provides a clear and tight low end.
The preamp is an Xotic original.
Controls include neck volume (active/passive switch), bridge volume (series/parallel switch), passive tone, treble, middle, bass, middle frequency switch, and treble frequency switch.
The sound is refined, with ample low frequencies and pleasant harmonics.
Playability is also very high, making it an overall high-level instrument.
