Description & Condition

De Gier is a Dutch brand founded in 1996 by Sander De Gier.
He originally focused on creating distinctive and modern bass guitars, but now primarily produces products in a Fender-style.

While the brand was already highly regarded, since the release of the BeBop, a JB-style model, its exceptional quality has kept him completely occupied with production.

Currently, in addition to Fender styles, they also offer unique models incorporating Thunderbird styles.

This model is their huge hit, the BeBop.

Marcus Miller purchased a prototype of this model, and Richard Bona soon followed suit with an order.

It continues to be highly regarded by true musicians like them.

The body is made of ash, and the fretboard is rosewood.

This combination has become increasingly popular in recent years.

De Gier uses various pickups depending on the individual instrument, but this particular instrument features a Lollar pickup.

The bridge is a custom-ordered original style from ETS, and the tuning machines are GOTOH RES-O-LITE.

The color is a chic and beautiful black.

It matches perfectly with the red tortoiseshell pickguard.

While it's basically a passive circuit, it also features a custom Vanderkley Fatboost function.

By slightly boosting the low frequencies and reducing high-frequency loss due to the lower impedance, it gives the impression of boosting both the low and high frequencies simultaneously.

The sound is already complete in passive mode, but simply pushing it a little further seems to give it an even more powerful impact.

This minimalist yet highly effective design is sure to impress all bassists.

The third knob is the passive tone control, but the tone effect can be adjusted using a push-pull switch.

When rolling back the tone, you might want to round off the high frequencies for a warmer sound, or conversely, strongly emphasize the high-mids.

Normally, this would be adjusted by the capacitor choice, but this function allows you to easily select either.

The fourth knob is a rotary switch, which turns Fatboost on and off.

The high strings resonate with a soft touch and rich harmonics, while the low strings maintain the same feel but support the ensemble with a strong fundamental tone—truly the ideal JB.

We promise you'll be impressed.
