Crews Maniac Sound is known as the original brand of the renowned store Hoochie's.
Its excellent design is supported by professionals and has a solid reputation.
This is a Jackson fretless bass.
It can be said to be one of the finest fretless basses in Japanese history.
The body is based on an ash back, with a beautifully grained spalted maple top, resulting in an exotic and unique look.
The neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is made of ebony.
The fingerboard surface is coated to prevent wear and produce rich sustain, achieving a perfect balance of quick response and clear attack.
The pickup is a single EMG 40DC on the bridge side.
The preamp is also an EMG BTS.
The greatest feature of this instrument is the overwhelming expressive power brought about by the extended fingerboard and pickup layout.
Picking on the extended fretboard produces a slow attack and a singing tone reminiscent of an upright bass, while playing closer to the bridge pickup results in a punchy tone with a fast attack.
This is a truly exceptional instrument, worthy of being called a masterpiece, as it maximizes the rich expressiveness unique to fretless basses.
The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork have scattered small dents and scratches. There is paint peeling on the back of the headstock. The metal parts are tarnished.
The electronics are in good condition.
The only clear modification is that the finger ramp has been replaced.
