Description & Condition

HEX Guitars is a South Korea-based brand specializing in entry-level to mid-range guitars.

They own their own factory in Indonesia and manufacture their guitars themselves. This sets them apart from brands that typically use OEM manufacturing.

Their passion for production, with the boss himself involved in the manufacturing process, allows them to produce guitars of a surprisingly high quality for their price point.

The B series features models that blend classic character with modern specifications.

This B375 is a modern 5-string JB model.

The body back is made of Indonesian Mahogany, and the top is made of Flame Maple.

Indonesian Mahogany is highly valued these days for its weight and tone, which are well-suited to musical instruments.

The Flame Maple top is very beautiful, and the see-through finish enhances its elegance.

The neck is made of Roasted Maple.

Roasted wood, also known as Thermo wood, is a new material popularized by Sago New Material Guitars in Japan.

Originally developed in Finland as wood for building saunas, it features high stability even in high-temperature and high-humidity environments due to the high-temperature treatment process that evaporates moisture and oils from within the wood.

In terms of sound, it gives the impression of a more refined and rich tone.

Furthermore, two carbon fiber rods are embedded in the neck to enhance its strength.

The fretboard is made of Indian Rosewood with a relatively flat 16" radius.
The neck has a thin C-shape profile.

The scale length is 35".

This guitar is characterized by a stronger fundamental tone compared to a 34" scale, a design that aligns with a modern concept.

The pickups are original single-coils.

They use original pickups in many of their models.

This isn't for cost-cutting, but because they have confidence in the quality of their self-designed pickups.

The staff, who understand music and play it regularly, thoroughly research many elements such as magnets, wires, and bobbins before designing them.

What you'll notice when you hold it is its high playability.

It's very easy to play and stress-free.

The sound has strong pitch definition, and the clear articulation even in the lower register is reassuring.

This guitar is extremely useful in gospel, R&B, and aggressive rock ensembles.

The basic neck quality is very high, resulting in excellent playability; it's difficult to say it's inferior to more expensive instruments.

Overall, it's a superb product with high quality in looks, playability, and sound.

This instrument has undergone precise fret leveling using PLEK.

All frets are perfectly level, theoretically producing a stable tone without buzz.

As this is a show model, there are some minor scratches.

Please understand.

As a side note, I met them at Sound Messe Osaka in 2024.
Initially, I misheard the price as 6000 USD and thought, "The quality is high, but the price is also high," so I put the transaction on hold.

However, I later realized that I had misheard, and the actual price was 600 USD, so I contacted them immediately. It was only natural, as something that seemed reasonable at 6000 USD was now priced at 600 USD.

A few days later, we had another business meeting in Seoul, and it was agreed that GIB and TONIQ would handle the distribution of HEX products in the Japanese market.

Since then, we have had frequent meetings with them, and finally, we have reached the point of launching this product.
Please look forward to it.
